Aleta Pippin

Creating is what motivates Aleta. She has been creating since the age of four, when she began her first drawings. By seventh grade Pippin was a standout in her art class. Then her creations took her into another direction: marriage, children, and job. The drive to create lived on inspiring Aleta to open her own business in 1984. That business eventually made the list of the 50 largest women-owned businesses in Houston.

Creation continued to motivate Aleta, facilitating a move to Santa Fe, New Mexico in 1991. She took her first painting lesson in 1992. There was restlessness about Aleta, though; and in 1997, she quit painting to pursue the ministry and to write. Painting again exploded into Pippin￯﾿ᄑs life in 2000, blooming into a full-time passion.

"My paintings are my attempt to communicate the natural beauty of our world. A painting is a particular snapshot in time and provides you with the opportunity to glimpse an entire world. You can view what's on the surface of the painting or you can look deeper into space to view other worlds. My goal is to communicate the organization and beauty that exists in our universe underneath the appearance of random chaos."

Pippin's images are triggered by nature, music, dreams, glimpses of color and form that lie just beneath her conscious awareness, yet are willing to surface during the creative process.

It is Aleta's passion to delve into the spiritual world and to communicate the love that resides there that motivates her to create. When you allow yourself to feel the love and passion that emanates from her pieces, she believes she has accomplished her mission. To own her paintings is to bring that love and passion into your life.
